This actually means a lot more to me than it probably will to anyone else. I don't want to explain it though, so read it how YOU want.
I thought of this idea when listening to this song, especially the lyrics in bold. It's also inspired by Allen Jones ([link]). To avoid repetition, yes I did paint my hands.

I take two steps forward
They try to knock me four steps back
Whenever I see color
They only see white or black

Whenever I speak my mind
They put words in my mouth
Do they really think that I’m lyin'
When I know what they’re all about?

Don’t let them put you down
No, don’t let ’em
Don’t let them put you down
Don’t let ’em
Don’t let them put you down
Don’t let them put you down
Don’t let ’em

When I’m in my sunshine
They bring their rain to fall
I’m lookin‘ at this picture
But they can’t see it at all

I’m steppin‘ on the gas
And I wanna move ahead
They said I'd never make it
But that’s what they always said

Don’t let them put you down
Don’t let ’em
Don’t let them put you down
Don’t let ’em
Don’t let them put you down
Don‘t let ’em
Put ya foot on the gas step on fas

- "Don't Let 'Em" by Bootsy Collins feat. Rosie Gaines, Snoop Dogg & Till Bronner.

Daily Deviation

They only see white or black by =Aiko273 is a strong and intense black and white portrait, with beautiful contrast. Very classy while also being edgy at the same time. I think it's highly impressive and just one of many great self portraits in this deviants gallery. (Featured by ^PorcelainPoet)

It's certainly a very interesting photograph. *tilts head* You sort of resemble Jean Harlow. But it does seem very open to interpretation. At least it does to me. XD I do like how the black on your arms fades towards the end. Overall, it seemed to me like you were aiming for a classic sort of portrait, but I don't think that was the case due to your description.

In some way, I can sympathize. I somehow feel that I can catch a glimpse of what this image portrays because something like this has happened in my life recently, and the side of my family that I'm on has been separated from the other side of my family, due to drama.

Those that caused the drama only see things their way, only negativity.
